Waffle Flower Challenge Design Team: 3rd Year of Breastfeeding. You Rock My World!

Hello everyone!

Today I wanna show you the card I created for Waffle Flower Crafts September Challenge. We have a super fun inspiration photo for this month's challenge. When I first saw it, it makes me feel like want to throw a party. Let's party!

Yes, it's not a birthday card but a card to celebrate the 3rd year of my breastfeeding journey. Time flies! In just 3 blinks of eyes, I successfully breastfeed my youngest boy for 3 years. Baby Hang, you rock my world!

Here's the photo inspiration:

The color combination, circle garland and the decorative items in the inspiration photo inspired me to come out with this card. I dabbed the Ink Dye Daydreaming, Safe Choice and You Said What randomly onto a white cardstock to create my own background.

I stamped the sentiments with black ink. Instead of circles, I die cut tiny bows from various colored cardstock to make a garland. Next, I created two rosette hearts using Rosette Heart Template Die and adhered them in the middle of the card. Lastly, resin bows were added to the rosette hearts.

Now is your turn! Make something new (card, layout, tag, planner spread, etc…) from the inspiration photo. You can still join in the fun even you don't own any Waffle Flower Products. However, you will need to use at least one Waffle Flower product to be eligible to win.

The challenge ends on 25th September 2016. Few more days to go.

Card: Enjoy the Journey, Happy Breastfeeding!

I made a card for my friend who just gave birth. It was a card to encourage and motivate her to enjoy her journey of breastfeeding.

This is a simple and clean card. I embossed the white cardstock with the embossing folder. Oh… The outcome was so beautiful. I love the curls and the butterflies so much. I used dapper to add some pastel light pink, blue and turquoise to the butterflies. I punched some mini butterflies from patterned paper and added to the card. I stamped the sentiment “Enjoy the Journey” from Tim Holtz in light blue at the top left of the card. I stamped another sentiment “Happy Breastfeeding” vertically along the right edge of the card in Raspberry Fizz.

I used the elements of the diagonal row from CAS-ual Fridays’ Tic Tac Toe board: Sequins, White and Dots.I had white base and the dots from the embossed curls.

Therefore, I added some sequins for final touch up.

I also prepared a small gift to my friend’s baby boy. I reused the brown paper bag that I got from bakery. I slightly decorated the brown paper bag and ...Tada!

I'm entering this for

Case Study Challenge #155: Happy Breastfeeding

This is a card that I made for myself and dedicated to all breastfeeding moms. I love this card so much!

Initially, this card is actually in landscape, as shown below:

This card was inspired by the card that made by my crafty friend, Cindy Lee

Then, when I saw Jennifer McGuire's card in Case Study Challenge #155, it triggered me. 'Hey, I can actually turn my card and become another design. It can be used in 2 ways, isn't it COOL!'

So, I turned the card and took a photo and submitted it to play along in Case Study Challenge #155. My card had some common elements with Jennifer's card, such as diagonal pennants, green chevron pattern and the layout.

Have fun and Happy Breastfeeding!

Thanks for stopping by!

A Special Dedication to Every Breastfeeding Mom

Did you know there was a World Breastfeeding Week? Well there is!
World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) is celebrated worldwide every 1-7 August since 1992.

Did you know that there was a Breastfeeding Awareness month too? Yes, you are right!
August is Breastfeeding Awareness month!

This year's World Breastfeeding Week theme, 'BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT: CLOSE TO MOTHERS', highlights Breastfeeding Peer Counselling. There were series of breastfeeding events to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week 2013. Though now is September, there's still few breastfeeding events to be carry on.

Well, for me, everyday is breastfeeding day! We have to enjoy and appreciate our breastfeeding journey! Therefore, I specially handmade a "Happy Breastfeeding" card and dedicate this card to every breastfeed mom. You are GREAT!

I want to take this opportunity to congratulate my friends and other mothers that successfully breastfeed your baby beyond 1 year or more! CONGRATULATIONS, gals! WELL DONE! I'm proud of you!

For those still breastfeed your baby, KEEP IT UP! There are many mothers out there accompany each of everyone of us to nurture our future with liquid gold from our breast. Happy Breastfeeding! We are GREAT!

Hope you all like the card! ;)
