Waffle Flower Challenge Design Team: 3rd Year of Breastfeeding. You Rock My World!

Hello everyone!

Today I wanna show you the card I created for Waffle Flower Crafts September Challenge. We have a super fun inspiration photo for this month's challenge. When I first saw it, it makes me feel like want to throw a party. Let's party!

Yes, it's not a birthday card but a card to celebrate the 3rd year of my breastfeeding journey. Time flies! In just 3 blinks of eyes, I successfully breastfeed my youngest boy for 3 years. Baby Hang, you rock my world!

Here's the photo inspiration:

The color combination, circle garland and the decorative items in the inspiration photo inspired me to come out with this card. I dabbed the Ink Dye Daydreaming, Safe Choice and You Said What randomly onto a white cardstock to create my own background.

I stamped the sentiments with black ink. Instead of circles, I die cut tiny bows from various colored cardstock to make a garland. Next, I created two rosette hearts using Rosette Heart Template Die and adhered them in the middle of the card. Lastly, resin bows were added to the rosette hearts.

Now is your turn! Make something new (card, layout, tag, planner spread, etc…) from the inspiration photo. You can still join in the fun even you don't own any Waffle Flower Products. However, you will need to use at least one Waffle Flower product to be eligible to win.

The challenge ends on 25th September 2016. Few more days to go.

Waffle Flower Challenge Design Team: Hi

Hello everyone!

Today I wanna show you the card I created for Waffle Flower Crafts August Challenge.

How I get inspired? Yes, from the photo inspiration shown below.

Such a homely living room! It inspired me to create a simple yet cozy card to send some warm wishes.

I used InstaLove Die to make my inlaid die-cutting and stamped the leaves using Loved Stamp Set. For the sentiment, I die cut the ‘H’ and ‘I’ from two different colors of cardstocks using Jumbo Letter HI Die and adhered them with foam squares. A kraft twine bow was added to the right top of the card.

To ‘serve’ a cup of warm wishes, it might be a cup of hot coffee or lemon tea: First, I blended a white cardstock with Ink Dye Daydreaming and You Said What by using sponge daubers, then stamped the image of a cup and the heart from Warm Wishes Stamp Set onto it. I cut out the images and adhered them to the card.

Lastly, the wood grain sequins were added to complete the card.

Now is your turn! Make something new (card, layout, tag, planner spread, etc…) from the inspiration photo. You can still join in the fun even you don't own any Waffle Flower Products. However, you will need to use at least one Waffle Flower product to be eligible to win.

The challenge ends on 25th August 2016.

Waffle Flower Challenge Design Team: Pearl-fect! Have A Fintastic Day!

Hello everyone!

It's time for another Waffle Flower Crafts Challenge - July 2016.

"...
Under the sea
Under the sea
Darling it's better
Down where it's wetter
Take it from me..."

Sounds familiar right? It's Disney Classic Little Mermaid's Under The Sea!

And Tada! My card for Waffle Flower Crafts July Challenge.

Here's the lovely inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the colors and the setting in the inspiration photo. I thought of something cool like swimming in the pool or diving in the sea. Yes, under the sea! I can try out the Little Mermaid Stamp that I just bought to create an under the sea scene! Frankly speaking, I'm not good in coloring. You would notice that I seldom create cards that need to color, no matter is water coloring or coloring with markers. I don't own any Copic markers. But somehow or rather, I'm so with love with this Little Mermaid Stamp, I just added it into my cart. Because of this cute stamp set, I purposely bought two Chameleon Pens to try out. And the outcome not too bad! Phew...

I started with stamping. Then, I colored the Mermaid and Oyster with Pearl with Chameleon Pen. For the rest of the images, I used sponge daubers to blend the colors using our newly release COLOR STORY premium dye ink pads. Oh, I'm so in love with the COLOR STORY premium dye ink! The colors are so beautiful!

After coloring, I used matching dies to cut everything out. Once done, I arranged and adhered them to the card base. The mermaid was popped up with foam squares. Then, I stamped the sentiments. Lastly, I sponged some blue dye ink and stamped the water bubbles. Done!

Now is your turn! Make something new (card, layout, tag, planner spread, etc…) from the inspiration photo. You can still join in the fun even you don't own any Waffle Flower Products. However, you will need to use at least one Waffle Flower product to be eligible to win.

The challenge ends on 25th July 2016.

Waffle Flower Challenge Design Team: You're Loved

Hello everyone!

Love me not? Yes, You're Loved!

This is the card I created for Waffle Flower Crafts June Challenge.

Here's the lovely inspiration photo:

The painted mason jars inspired me to create a card with acrylic paints. I painted the colors randomly on a piece of white cardstock. After the paints dried up, I stamped the succulents from Succulents Stamp Set using Onyx Black and die cut them using the coordinating die - Succulents Die.

Next, I measured and die cut the shape of a mason jar from a white panel by using the Good Stuff Die. I inked the edge of the leftover die cut mason jar with Pink. Then, I adhered a strip of grey bricks washi tape to the panel and layered it to a white card base. For the mason jar, I blended it with Sea Breeze from the outer edge to the inner part. I stamped the partial of the sentiment “LOVED” with Silver in the middle of the jar. A chiffon wired ribbon with a butterfly was attached to the left top corner of the mason jar and I adhered it to the card with form tapes. I positioned and layered the succulents which I prepared earlier with form tapes. Lastly, I stamped the other part of the sentiment “You’re” with Onyx Black.

Now is your turn! Make something new (card, layout, tag, planner spread, etc…) from the inspiration photo. You can still join in the fun even you don't own any Waffle Flower Products. However, you will need to use at least one Waffle Flower product to be eligible to win.

The challenge ends on 25th June 2016.

Waffle Flower Challenge Design Team: Mom, You're Amazing!

Hello everyone!

8th of May was Mother's Day!

I made a card for all the MOMs! You're Amazing!

This card is my creation for Waffle Flower Crafts May Challenge based on the inspiration photo.

This photo is simply beautiful. It's so English! Oh, I'm totally in love with it!

Let's see how I get inspired. The blue card base layered with patterned harlequin-style diamonds was inspired by the blue wall and the texture of the basket of the photo. The flower printed chair prompted me to layer a panel at the center of the card - a notepad which I die cut it from Stay Focused Die Set. I stamped the flowers and leaves at the left bottom corner of the notepad using the Loved Stamp Set and ink pads from Fall and Winter Blend according to the color palette given. I used Harvest, Tea Rose, Potion and Paisley from Fall Blend Inkpad. Likewise, I used Treetop, Pear and Ice blue from Winter Blend Inkpad.

I die cut an oval shaped from a basket textured patterned paper using Rock My World Die Set. I attached a mini envelop which I die cut from Mini Trifold Notes Template Die. I held it with mini cloth peg. The sentiment is a mix of die cut from the Amazing Word Die and the sentiment from Feather More Stamp Set and Succulents Stamp Set.

Hope you like my card!

Now is your turn! Make something new (card, layout, tag, planner spread, etc…) from the inspiration photo. You can still join in the fun even you don't own any Waffle Flower Products. However, you will need to use at least one Waffle Flower product to be eligible to win.

The challenge ends on 25th May 2016.

Waffle Flower Challenge Design Team: Awesome

Hello everyone!

I'm so excited to share with you that I'll be with Waffle Flower Crafts for another term! Yippie!

My card for April Challenge:

I would like to dedicate this card to Waffle Flower Crafts, especially Tessa and Nina!  I also dedicate this card to my dearest team mates! YOU ARE AWESOME! And of course to everyone of you!

Let's have a look at the inspiration photo! I promise it's a very lovely photo.

Isn't it lovely? The flower bouquet, umbrella and the Easter-feel colors caught my eyes. Well, I focused on the umbrella instead of flowers. However, I didn't want the image of umbrella to appear on my card. Silly, right? But this silly thought inspired me. Yes, I could had the pleat! I thought of the Rosette Hearts Template Die that I just received not long ago. (This is a must have die which you will never regret to own one! Such a fun, useful, detailed and easy to use die!)

I stamped a big outlined flower cluster from Loved Stamp Set with black ink at a white card base. A ribbon in black and leaves in green were layered to the flower cluster using the same stamp set. I made two heart shaped rosettes in two sizes using Rosette Hearts Template Die. I embellished them with die cut butterfly, wood veneer butterfly and pearls. Then, I added a few sequin shaped wood veneer to the card. Lastly, I die cut the word ‘Awesome’ using our new release Awesome Word Die and let it be the sentiment of my card.

Hope you like my card and get inspired!

Make something new (card, layout, tag, planner spread, etc…) from the inspiration photo. You can still join in the fun even you don't own any Waffle Flower Products. However, you will need to use at least one Waffle Flower product to be eligible to win.
