Card: Life is Beautiful

Today, I took 20 minutes break to create a simple card while Baby Hang taking his nap. What a short but sweet time!
Want to know what I have created?

Here’s the card:

This card was inspired by:
Waffle Flower Challenge for October/November 2014 - The Designer Challenge

And the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #96. A sketch by N@ Ali.  Such a great sketch!

I used Rock My World stamp set and the matching craft die from Waffle Flower Crafts that I won from previous Waffle Flower Challenge. I love this stamp set so much! The designs are so nice and special! Nina, you ROCK the world!

I stamped the base of the card using mini rock with pastel blue, green and pink. I die cut the flowers and dab the center of the flowers with inks. I stamped the outline of the flowers. I stamped the big rock with ‘Life is Beautiful’ at a panel as my sentiment. Then, I attached the flowers to the right edge of the panel. Lastly, adhere the panel to the card base using foam squares.

Card: Happy Diwali (JAI #236)

This week Just Add Ink have some "Feathery Inspiration" for us.

When I first saw this photo, the peacock on the cake and the peacock feathers made me think of Deepavali. Peacock is the symbol of Diwali (Deepavali) celebrations throughout Malaysia. And you know what... Deepavali is here! Actually I was invited to attend a lunch gathering by an Indian friend. So,  I made her and her family a Diwali card based on this inspiration piece. I was inspired by the colors, swirls, flowers and the feathers.

I die cut the normal feathers and attached rhinestones onto the feathers to make them looked like the peacock feathers.  I made some roses and arranged some die cut swirl leaves to the card. Gold and yellow sequins were added to brighten up the card.

I'm entering this card for

Happy Deepavali
to those that celebrate and
happy holiday for the rest!

Layout: Always Together

It's time for Mei Li Paperie's October Color Challenge. Let's have a look at the color palette.

This color challenge immediately got me thinking of Pink Paislee's ephemera and stickers, especially Solstice.

Here's my take:

I used mostly Pink Paislee's ephemera and stickers from Solstice, Pen Pals and Switchboard. I used a 'lovely' sticker from Shimelle.

I love the tag 'Life is a JOURNEY enjoy it!' Then, I purposely matched the wordings together: My world ... You & Me, everyday 24/7 forever& always together!

Card: Beautiful (Winnie and Walter WCMD 2014)

To celebrate World Car Making Day 2014, Winnie & Walter team were heading up challenges throughout the day. I couldn't join the fun that day. Luckily, we can still post our projects throughout the week until Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:55 p.m.

I was inspired by Lea's On Trend challenge: Camera and Kelly's Unexpected Stamping challenge.

I planned to make some cards last night after the live concert of Harlem but I fall asleep after a tired day. I woke up early in the morning (while my boys still on bed) and made this simple card.

Here's my take:

I extremely love this camera stamp from Evalicious. Don't know why. Then, I used a sentiment for a border. I stamped the sentiment 'oh snap!' around the camera to make a frame or border. I stamped the watercolor wonder with pink, mint and seafoam at the base of the camera. I added the 'Beautiful' die cut cardstock shapes from American Craft Shimelle as my sentiment. Lastly, I embellished the card with some sequins.

I'm entering this card for

Happy World Card Making Day!

Layout: Mom, I Am Right Here!

Mei Li Paperie's September inspired by..... Challenge is fun! The inspiration piece is a cute and colorful image. It is selected by Kim Jefress.

Here's my take:

I used the color palette and the design of the image. When I first saw this image, I thought of London, travelling, enjoyable moment and FOOD! I planned to create a layout about food but then I realized I did not have any photo about food on hand. Then, I changed my mind and go for this - fun time with my Little Ze. We were having fun and enjoyed the moment playing hide and seek and pretending riding the elevator up and down in a building.

Beneparty in Penang Gurney Plaza!

919 (September 19, 2014) such a nice number! Benefit Cosmetics painted Penang in PINK! Really? Yeah, they were having a party! Beneparty! It was actually their Grand Opening of Benefit Boutique in Penang! I was there! I was there!

Benefit Cosmetics came to Penang around 2007 and it was just a counter in Parkson, Gurney Plaza. Recently, Benefit moved to a shop lot located at Ground Floor in Gurney Plaza on 3rd June 2014. Yes! Benefit finally opened their very first Benefit Boutique & Brown Bar in Penang!

Of course, in that evening, you would see a crowd in front of Benefit Boutique. A big pink balloons arch stood at the front of the door and pink carpet on the floor. So sweet and nice!

I straight away look for the registration counter to register myself. A door gift was given on the spot and a sticker of ‘Bene Babe in Gurney’ was given to stick on my arm in order to enter the area.

The night started off with bubbly. They have free flow of wine and fruit punch with ice cream. All in Pink! Oh, I love the fruit punch with ice cream! Besides, some light refreshment from G-Hotel was served.

It was sad to admit that I was actually half an hour late for the party. I was stuck in a terrible traffic jam as it was Friday. Furthermore, it was impossible to reach on time with my 3 boys along. So, I missed the most important part of the party - the ribbon cutting ceremony. Lawrence Teh, the Center Manager of Gurney Plaza and Jacqueline, the Brand Manager of Benefit Cosmetics cut the thick pink ribbon to officiate the launch of the opening.

Then, it followed by the group photo taking and a mini tour for the invited VIP to look around the boutique.

Here’s some photo of the boutique I took earlier in June 2014:

How about some photo on that day itself?

Of course, invited Bene Babes had the chance to try out Benefit products right on the spot. And there were some special promotions with purchase of Benefit products, only for that particular day.

There were some quizzes for all the invited Bene Babes. MC of the day, CK asked some very simple questions and those with correct answers walked away with Benefit goodies. Sounds great, right?

Now, the two Macho Men came in action! They were Jordan and Wei. Oh my! Invited Bane Babes were requested to write something on these two Macho Men’s arms by using the waterproof eye brow pencils provided! At first, no one dare to write. MC approached the crowd and slowly more and more Bane Babes joined in. Oh, even a kid wrote some words too! Such a big one!

‘Drum roll!’ It was time for Lucky Draw!

Lucky Candy Jar
Do you know that when Jean and Jane had their shop in the 70s,
they sell make up in candy jars!

Lawrence and Jacqueline were invited to pick the winners in that night's lucky draw.

"This lucky winner's phone number starts with '012' and ..." , "Anyone of you the last 4 digits of your mobile phone added up become 13?", "Raise your hand if your surname is ..." MC purposely asked all these questions before he announced the lucky winner. In between, there were quite a number of lucky winners did not turned up. Jacqueline had to redraw, again and again.

Never mind still have chance.
Awww... Not me!
Hi James! (Hmm... must be something funny that makes him laugh.)

It is a great prize! Are you the lucky Bena Babe?
Oh finally...

Here’s the lucky Bane Babes :

It was nearly towards the end of the Party after the Lucky Draw.

Hmm ... What did they doing?

Oh! They were taking photo at the fotobox! Post and say cheese!

Before leaving, I had some fun at the fotobox too. Selfie with the two Macho Men.

Thank you for the invitation, Jennifer!  Thanks to all the Bene ‘Crew’ for the effort and preparation of the party!
Thank you, Benefit Cosmetics! We were having fun in the party! #benepartypenang

Wanna peep at what I had for the door gift? Tada…

Ok, that’s all for today!
